The Advisor Mr. Jeffrey Roy is the sole principal of The Roy Funds, LLC. The Roy Funds, LLC. is located at 1934 Robincrest Lane in Glenview, IL, 60025. The telephone number is 312-719-5769. Mr. Roy had been previously registered as a Commodity Trading Advisor (“CTA”) with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (“CFTC”) as a CTA on March 13, 1995 and became member of the National Futures Association (“NFA”) in that capacity on June 4th, 1996. Mr. Roy Registered The Roy Funds, LLC. as a CTA on April 13, 2004 and it became an NFA member on April 22nd, 2004. Business Background of the Principal Mr. Roy, born February 1, 1971, attended Loyola University of Chicago where he concentrated his studies in the fields of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics. Mr. Roy received scholastic recognition in 1992, by placing first in the statistical analysis competition held at Northwestern University. In May, 1992, Mr. Roy accepted a position as a research analyst with The Pardo Corporation, a trading research and consulting firm located in Northfield, Illinois. He became registered as an Associated Person, (“AP”) at The Pardo Corporation in March of 1995. Mr. Roy applied technical analysis to the futures markets and was responsible for conducting research in various forms directed at constructing a large portfolio of computer-guided strategies spanning many markets and several different time frames. Mr. Roy has been exposed to a large number of trading models and methods for developing and testing new strategies. In February of 1995, Mr. Roy formed a consulting company, MarketSolve, which provided trading solutions to several trading entities nationwide. Then from January of 1996 to May of 1996, Mr. Roy worked as an AP for Robbins Trading Company, a Futures Commission Merchant (“FCM”) in Chicago Illinois. In June he changed firms and became registered as an AP with Bressert Investment Group, an Introducing Broker (“IB”) in Chicago, where he remained until December of 1996. In January of 1997 Mr. Roy went to work with Alaron Trading Corporation in research and applied for AP registration. On June 25th, 1997 his registration with Alaron became permanent, and at the same time he was dually registered as an AP with Green Street Discount, a wholly owned IB of Alaron Trading Corporation. Mr. Roy maintains both these registrations to this date. Over the last several years, Mr. Roy has researched and developed hundreds of trading strategies for his own use as well as for institutional trading firms such as Scotia McLeod and Transmarket Group. In July of 2002, Mr. Roy created FlashFutures.com, an electronic trading division of Alaron Trading Corporation and is now a Vice President at Alaron.
